One Tree Hill Podcast: "Forever and Always Almost"
The big day is finally here on One Tree Hill! Peyton and Lucas get married in a lovely, very personal ceremony, surrounded by friends (but not, alas, family -- we missed you, Karen and Larry!) and bouyed up by their love. The vows left even hardened cynics a little sniffly. So it's a shame we spent the entire episode waiting for everything to go horribly awry...
Not that there wasn't a bit of wedding drama even before the much-feared end --- Lucas invited Julian -- who brought a date. Even worse, said date is Missy, the Brookealike from the movie. What's a girl to d? Well, if you're Brooke, you enlist the nearest hunky pop star to make your ex jealous. Meanwhile, Skills is on Jamie duty -- and he's making sure the kid won't go missing this time -- and nathan is dealing with some bad news -- the Clippers drafted Nino, not him. Raise your hand if you're surprised by that development.
All of which is just the build-up to the moment we all knew was coming. Lucas goes to the garage to unveil the Comet, leaving Peyton alone. She immediately starts bleeding heavily and falls to the floor. Will these two get a happy ending despite all of the trauma? (Hint: This article suggests the answer is no.)
Mia and I discuss the many quoteable lines, and reveal some shocking sentiments that will have you wondering whether I've suffered a recent head trauma. Plus, we reveal the key signs that your wedding is going well, speculate on Jamie's classroom, lament what happens when teasers run amok, and offer our services to any engaged couples out there.

i dont think that naley will have gotten pregnant from that exact time, since season 7 is going to be a year ahead, the baby would have already been born, and it would be weird to jump back into the show and all the sudden they have a three month old
but i know you didnt know that at the time
soooooo, yeah

I loved this episode it was awesome. I agreed with Mia I thought he said Mccougnahey or however you spell that name but in order for taht he'd have to actually own a shirt. lol
Haley was an awesome minister and a very hot one too. I loved that box Haley got that paper from it's from behind the brick, ok I'm feeling nostalgic now.
That Brookealike was wearing Brooke's prom dress but the whole sitaution was just awesome.
I actually thought hell had frozen over when I heard Sarah say she liked Mouth, I'm really shocked.
I do feel sorry for Nathan but it's kinda his fault. He did make Nino look good and he did teach him some stuff.
Peyton I think Peyton is gonna be killed off but I do hope that they have a happy ever after.
Julian and Victoria's confrontation was awesome and that lil smirk she had makes me think she kinda respects him.
I really do feel that Peyton is gonna die but TRUE One Tree Hill fans will wtach the show no matter what.
I'm really happy for Jackie but I have to admit that the podcasts won't be the same without her. oh and last week you guys didn't mention anything about James Lafferty's directing skills, I thought he did an awesome job.
great podcast as always

Congrats to Jackie. I was thinking the opposite had happened, so good for her!
(Does that means there's a vacancy? I can send over my resume right now...)
Well, obviously the news broke on this already. That didn't even bother me so much as the millions of other guests and regulars they are adding to fill the void.
I always thought that One Tree Hill was really good at adding in characters and increasing their roles organically. We don't need random people. I'm just worried as to how they will gel in, plus missing two.
(See, I was/am a huge fan of 7th Heaven. They loved brining in random people to fill the voids of the missing kids, once they grew up/wanted to do movies/held out for more money. It never worked. They even did an episode called The Replacements. You always pine for the originals. That's why you watch the show. It's a shame when things get in the way of what the viewers desperately want.)
The show will not be the same without them. Not that I love Lucas or Peyton, together or apart, but it's more the principal of the matter. But I guess, on the flipside, they haven't been properly utilized and therefore why do we need them? The only one used well, to nearly her full potential, has been Brooke. No one else was served all that well as a character by the jump.
Anyway, just my two cents.

Okay, so I just spent all of yesterday in such a depression over hearing that it will be officially announced in a few days that Chad and Hilarie are off the show, and now you're telling me that Jackie got a new job? Yeah, I'm felling totally abandoned, now...
Anyway, you guys were extra funny this week :D

Hey girls, I just had a suggestion for getting Jackie to podcast a few shows with you now that she has her new job (congrats, btw). I listen to another podcast where they don't live near each other and they use a program called Skype. Maybe you could set it up to see if Jackie could join in with you. I really love the dynamic of your trio!
