Reaper: Saved by Steve

We've got new roomies, sponging brothers, an innovation in bachelor party technology, and a real schmuck of a not-quite-irredeemable soul this week on Reaper -- and we're loving it.

First thing to celebrate: The return of Tony and Steve! No, Steve hadn't returned to this plane, but he's helping lost souls through his Holy Karaoke DVD. And it's a good think he's there, because Sam is dealing with a particularly contentious soul-to-be. No, Gary isn't dead yet, and he hasn't actually signed on the Devil's bottom line, He is, however, accepting everything he can -- including a polar bear -- from Satan, and he's planning on living it up and then repenting on his deathbed.

When Satan finds out, he wants to hasten that deathbed part along, so he can get Gary pre-repentance. So Sam warns Gary, who reveals he has no idea how to repent. Sam brings him to Tony, who puts him on the path of Steve. Steve speaks to his new acolyte from an endless loop of off-key karaoke and tells him how to be saved. He also tells him to warn Sam. Why?

Well, that's because Morgan is still there, and he's still trying to be evil, even after being booted by Daddy Devil. He's sleeping on Sam's couch, eating all the cereal and erasing Sock's soaps from the DVR. The fiend! Even worse, he's hitting on Nina, who has also moved in with the guys now that her lair is gone. She seems to be open to Morgan's advances, and even asks him to come with her to church -- the Church of Steve, that is.

When Morgan gets there, he pulls a gun on Sam, proposing to kill him, take his rightful place at the right hand of Satan, and generally be evil. Too bad it's a trap -- Nina lured him there so she and the other Steveites could off him. Nice! Now, will something similar happen to Morgan on Gossip Girl?

Nina explains -- she's still sworn to hunt down all the offspring of the Devil. What about me? Sam asks. You're different, she assures him. And Gary concurs -- Steve himself told him so.

Back at the Bench, Sock throws a bachelor party for Ted, even though his engagement was only in his own mind. Ben proposes hiring clowns, Sock wants stripper, and thus the next step in Bachelor Party Evolution is born -- stripper clowns! Brilliant! Andi even allows the guys to have the party at the Bench (after Sock told her no one liked her anymore). That...was a mistake. See, someone calls in the home office to report the party. That someone? Ted himself. Andi is demoted, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Now things are almost back to normal. But how long will THAT last?

I like Morgan. I hope they bring him back, especially if there's a Season Three.
