Ok the Vampire Diary ppl didn't cheat. Strange though you seem to need to go and attack other ppl calling them sour or crybabys or w/e... No one is calling Vampire Diary cheaters anymore. Some other ppl posted previously "TVD ppl need to get over themselves" with that I will have to agree. I kinda hate these competitions in the sense that sometimes I begin to hate the overzealous fans who want to spit insults or hate on other shows (this goes vice versa for other shows as well).

I think one thing everyone needs to remember is that it's nt only US fans that are voting. Take England where I come from, into consideration, here we have, again, an insane amount of VD fans if you relate it to the times when other shows, SPN ncluded, started which percieved here as niche shows with passionate but small cultlike followings, whereas VD is huge here (not GG-huge but probably will be if we give it time) plus we check fancies all the time and the forum which I'm a part of (FF) again has so many VD European fans which vote when I link them to the polls...its not cheating if everyone does it, so stop complaining about cheating and start posting links to combat us because at this moment in time no one holds a candle to current VDers.

Also, when SPN used to win everything there was no/very little cheating accusations, so now that they are being given a run for their money instead of automatic win status by fans who previously just voted for them because it was an option (Hottest Moment, anyone?), they point fingers at the new winners, "Cheatcheatcheat" they cry. Get over it.

To all the people who said that TVD fans cheated, I'd just like to say that I personally never heard about this site or the sourcies until I saw it posted on a TVD fansite. Not to be a smart-alec, but TVD actually had higher ratings in its first season than OTH had in it's first season (I love that show too, but just to point it out to the person who said OTH topped VD). You can check the Neilsen ratings if you don't believe it.

OK Mana don't get angry. you expressed your opinion an I expressed mine. that's not a war between fans or TV shows, that's a mere competition. there is always someone (probably the strongest one) who wins and others who lose and this is pretty normal. but please don't deny the fact that TVD is the most popular show at the moment because actually for me it is the best show. the whole story, characters, cast and acting is brilliant in VD, and it will be even more popular in couple of years believe me,if the quality remains as high as it is now.

btw i really liked lost, and i adore House. so if I am a fan of TVD it does not mean that i don't watch other shows. i just like TDV much more than other series and that's my personal opinion.

I think you directed that "either you're blind or have some serious problems" towards Taylor. The format on this blog is somewhat confusing.
And with that said - that was rude and uncalled for. Taylor even admitted that maybe it's a different taste in men. But so far as that goes, I'm with Taylor. Jensen Ackles is way hotter. The Vampire Diaries guy sometimes looks like a creeper.

There was another good point brought up. TVD people SHOULD get over themselves. Saying that it is the most popular show of all time is a joke to be honest. Supernatural, One Tree Hill, Smallville all had greater followings than Vampire Diaries in their peak seasons. True, someone else said that those shows are meeting their ends soon (and possibly due to bad promoting on the CWs part). TVD is the CW's newborn baby and that's why its so popular now. Give it a year or so and it'll dwindle, the Cw will stop promoting them so much and the ratings may suffer etc etc.

I'll admit Vamp Diaries won this one like they'll probably win more later on, but I'm just so appalled at how TVD fans can be so arrogant and pompous to say that their show is the most popular of all time (when it clearly hasn't beaten the highest ratings of Smallville or Superantural). And taking into account other shows on other networks with large followings like Lost or House etc etc. Seriously TVD fans?

Just dial down the arrogance and dont be disrespectful to the veteran shows on the CW network. That's all I'm saying.

Supernatural fans are not butt-hurt about the sudden loss in forever years, but just shocked at the sudden surge overnight. That's the only issue. It's just difficult to believe that it was all honest. Reverse the situation and think about it - what happened if that happened overnight and say...90210 took the lead by a bazillion votes. A lot of people would be skeptical about it.

Haha, btw I think TVD fans need to get over themselves. Yapping on and on about it being the highest rated show (rolls eyes). Keep in mind that its their first season and the momentum for a show is the strongest then. Supernatural, OTH, and Smallville have had CRAZY followings in their peak seasons (and the ratings were higher than any TVD ep) and I think its insanely rude to think they fell below par just cuz some vampire hyped show came out during the Twilight craze.

Maybe the TVD fans didn't cheat...maybe they did. There's just a lot of talk and the TVD people should be able to understand the situation here. It does look really shady b/c the surge really came outta nowhere. Calculating all the fansites or whatever - it just seems really unreasonable for just one night. I honestly thought the poll was broken b/c I checked it the night before and the morning after.

...Oh well, in the end, I'll take a heartfelt story about two brothers hunting actual Supernatural stuff who don't have their boxers in a twist about a girl for the entire season. When I see a teen drama done right I see One Tree Hill because it doesn't just deal with boyfriends/girlfriends or whatever but real familial issues that matter. Not really something like 90210 or Gossip girl who seem to deal with the same issues over and over again.

On a side note: whoever said that guy on Vampire Diaries is the hottest guy therefore hottest kiss or whatever - HAH. sorry but that guy can't even hold a candle to Jensen Ackles. Maybe that's just a different taste in men - but if we ever have another hottie bracket I'm sure Dean isn't going to lose to that guy. I wouldn't even be slightly worried about that.

Every time I see TVD beating out my beloved Supernatural in one of the polls, a little part of me dies. Sure, the Winchesters and Co. will always be number one in my heart, but it's just depressing. Relooking back at some of the comments, I will have to agree with my first assertion that the TVD fans are cheating.
Posted on many fansites would give it a surge, but I don't think you guys understand how big of a surge it was to be reasonable. It was FAR behind One Tree Hill and Supernatural then suddenly it leads by over 1000 votes.

All in all, I don't really care about the sourcies anymore. They used to be so fun (think a few years back when jason c hosted them?) but now that there's so much dishonesty everywhere I just don't see the point.

to the cwsource: I appreciate the fun polls to help us through the long summer, but when fans just want so badly to win that they'll do anything for it...

Same thing I said in the best fight category. I understand the frustration, but what people seem to be forgetting is that The Vampire Diaries IS by far the highest ratest show on the CW. And I've lost count of the number of times I've read about people watching the whole season after hearing such kudos for the finale.

As the Sourcies spokesperson said, the surge in votes came from the link being posted on several TVD related sites (and there are a LOT out there).

As for this vote itself, one person said that it was "fake" because it wasn't Elena, but rather Katherine. As a die-hard Damon/Elena fan, I can tell you that it was in NO WAY fake to me because Damon didn't KNOW that it was Katherine. He thought it was Elena, and seeing Damon react that way to her was absolutely beautiful, as well as heartbreaking once we found out it was Katherine. There was such a poignancy and pathos to the kiss because of that. As for the kiss itself, all on its own, it was insanely hot! I thought the Dean/Jo kiss was beautiful, and had a lot of emotion, but the hotness level just couldn't be touched by any other kiss on that list in my opinion. The Ian Somerhalder/Nina Dobrev chemistry is just amazing.

There is no cheating going on here. I voted for the DKE kiss and posted it on every single VD site I could think of and it amounted to about 10 different sites. I saw several people post it on fanpop for example. As far as I know, being resourceful by spreading the word about this contest isn't cheating. SPN and OTH fans are upset because they creamed everyone last year. Well, it's VD's time to shine because they are the hot new show and both OTH and SPN are reaching their conclusion. That's life.

meh I guess I can believe there are some crazy fans for Vampire Diaries... though I still have some reservations about the unusual burst... but assuming Vampire Diary ppl are similar to the Twilight freaks I see everyday, then I guess that's a bit more believable. Are you sure you're enacting ur 'strict' voting system? A surge over night for Vampire Diaries was way more far out there than I've ever seen in the past.
I voted for Supernatural (because dean and jo obviously - saddest/most meaningful kiss ever) but I accepted One Tree Hill's lead.
If Vampire Diaries gained a steady increase of votes throughout the week I wouldn't think twice about it - but I checked this poll LAST NIGHT... It was quite far behind both Supernatural and OTH. These two shows were dueling it out. I don't know what you're doing to enforce your policy, but I honestly dont think its working.

I voted for the kiss between Lois and Clark on SMALLVILLE. Not only was it a beautifully hot kiss despite it being in the dark and in the rain, it was also a HUGE moment for this iconic couple. For Lois to recognize the kiss as that of her true love and for Clark a.k.a. The Blur to kiss her as he heads off to save the day evoked the best of fairy tale romance and epic heroism. Erica Durance and Tom Welling do a fantastic job in their roles and they've definitely sold the Lois and Clark romance to me as a viewer. Truly an award worthy moment.

My God, every time I watch that scene my heart stops. It's so incredibly romantic, beautiful and hot. And I'm sorry, but being wrong only makes it even sexier :P

Well, I'm saddened that the glorious, "Why'd you have to use tongue?" Bobby and Crowley kiss didn't make it, but at least there's still the Dean and Jo kiss. Except now I'm slightly teary eyed. Goodbye, Harvelles, you gals were awesome.

Firstly, because it caused Lois to finally recognize him as the Blur, or rather the other way around (hopefully it sticks this time), and secondly, because it was one of their best kisses on the show.

Trust me, we considered it, (and it's still one of my favorite moments of the season) but the nominations fell on the side of Dean and Jo.
